Hello and Welcome!

My name is Christina, and I'm a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards mental and emotional well-being.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and nonjudgmental space. My approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and respect for each person's unique background and perspective.

I specialize in working with those struggling with anxiety disorders and obsessive compulsive disorder. While those areas are my specialty, I also have extensive experience in treating a wide range of challenges, including substance abuse disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues, self exploration, and life transitions. Whether you're seeking support for specific issues or simply looking to gain a deeper understanding of yourself, I'm here to help.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm and supportive environment where you can freely express yourself and explore your concerns. I integrate various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma informed practices, exposure therapy, and person centered approaches.

I believe in the power of therapy to foster growth, resilience, and positive change. Together, we can work towards building a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

My Background

I am Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I received my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Georgian Court University and have been working in the mental health field for over a decade.

Prior to working in private practice, I have experienced working in a variety of settings including inpatient rehabs, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient therapy (IOP), outpatient community mental health centers for co-occurring disorders, methadone clinics, and group practices. Throughout my career, I have provided individual, family, and group services.

I also have significant experience in crisis intervention and worked in emergency rooms as a psychiatric screener.

In addition to my passion for working in clinical settings with clients, I have also worked as a program coordinator in an IOP and an assistant director of clinical operations in a group practice. In these roles, I was able to train and supervise other clinicians as well as assess program needs for improved clinical outcomes.

I have received my supervision certification for both mental health and addictions. I have provided supervision services to newly licensed clinicians and facilitated in their growth to become independent clinicians.

Throughout my career I have always been motivated to seek trainings to continue enhancing my therapeutic skills. I have knowledge and/or formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT), Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ExRP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Continuing to enhance my skills as a therapist is important to me, in order to better serve the clients that I work with. I integrate various therapeutic techniques and my eclectic approach to therapy is collaborative and tailored to meet your individual needs and goals.
