  • Absolutely! Therapy isn't just for addressing diagnoses. It can also be beneficial for personal growth, self-discovery, improving relationships, enhancing coping skills, and increasing overall well-being. Many people find therapy helpful even if they don't have a diagnosable mental health condition.

  • When we first begin working together, I ask my clients to commit to weekly sessions for 53-60 minutes. I find this to be beneficial to the therapuetic process and client outcomes.

    The duration of therapy varies depending on individual needs and goals.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. Therapists are legally and ethically bound to keep your information private, except in certain circumstances such as if there's an immediate threat of harm to yourself or others.

  • Yes, I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to interested clients to determine if we are the right fit to work together. Ensuring that we are a good fit is essential to the therapuetic experience.

  • During our initial appointment, we will review your intake forms and review practice policies. I will then ask questions to get to know you, your presenting issues, and the history of the presenting issues. We will collaboatively discuss goals and expectations that you wish to accomplish during our time together in treatment

  • During our subsequent therapy sessions together, you will have the opportunity to discuss your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I will listen, provide support, and help you explore ways to cope with challenges and achieve your goals.

  • Virtual therpy will take place with us meeting on a secure video platform. Prior to each session, you will receive a link to our secure video session. It’s important to have a private space with strong internet connection for our sessions.

    Please note, I will not conduct therapy sessions while you are driving a vehicle.

  • No, at this time due to state license regulations, I am only allowed to see clients who are physically located in NJ, whether in person or virtually. That unfortuantely means I will have to cancel/reschedule our appointment if you are traveling out of state.

  • In my experience, I find those sessions to be some of the most productive sessions. During times when things are settled and you might find you don’t have much to disuss, it leads for opportunities to explore the self deeper and process areas in which the crisis and/or presenting problem was overshadowing.

  • No, I do not provide such documentation or complete forms for the following;

    Government Forms/Clearance
    Disability Forms
    FMLA
    School Forms
    Emotional Support Animals
    Legal Requests & Custody Evals
    Psychiatric Clearance
    Etc.

    For such needs, please contact your Psychiatrist or Primary Care Provider.

  • No, I am not licensed to prescribe medication. If you are interested in medication management, I will be happy to assist in providing referrals and collaborating with you.
